Accounting Information and Market Efficiency

This course is designed for PhD students and post-doctoral researchers who would like to extend and deepen their expertise on current research issues in accounting.  

The course is organized under the broad topic of understanding the relation between public information and market efficiency. Three specific topics will be considered:

  • Feedback effect of stock price;
  • The coordination role of public information;
  • Accounting and price efficiency.

The main objective is to introduce some latest development in economics and finance that have implications for accounting research. And in doing so, help identify open questions and explore future research opportunities.
